About me
MY STORY
Chiara Chieregato. I’m the person behind Sono Chiara: translation and interpreting services.
I’ve worked as a freelance translator and interpreter since 2007.
I’ve always been attracted to languages and writing, so after having a trilingual education I chose the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and then landed in Barcelona and specialised in translation, my passion.
At Pompeu Fabra University I first studied my Master’s and then Doctorate at the Faculty of Translation and Language Sciences, where I’m also a professor since 2010.
Regarding interpreting services, I’ve refined my university knowledge by specialising in bilateral consecutive interpreting in the Spanish<>Italian and Catalan<>Italian language combinations.
As well as languages, I studied traverse flute at the Venice Conservatory: music is an essential part of my life. I’m also passionate about food and nutrition. For now, becoming a certified sommelier and taking dance lessons are two of the areas I’d like to work on.
Those who know me know that I love smiling, giving and receiving smiles is essential for me. I love irony and I’m truly fascinated by people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
My keyword: kindness.
Why should you choose me?
Because I love my job and I do it passionately. Because I’m a professional translator and interpreter whose goal is to help you communicate.
Each project is unique and special for me. Because my success is your success above all else. Working with me means having someone reliable, attentive to your needs and always on hand.
Shall we work together?
Now that you know more about me, do you think we’d work well together? Get in touch and let me know which service you need.
